There remains one point which deserves considera and that brings us back to the time scale. It ay not always be desirable to appoint the senior officer on the time scale to the following posts:- Superintendent (U.B) dong long, Superintendent U.B.) Mainland and the superinten- dents under namely Cuperintendents C.I.C. and Special Branch. In the absence of any intermediate superscale appointment.e. junior to D.C.P. it is recommended that these four posts should carry a charge allowance of £100.-/- per annum each.
